About the artists:

Lana McDonagh is an award-winning composer for film and TV. She has also featured as a guest vocalist with Manic Street Preachers, appearing on their single ‘Hiding in Plain Sight’ & bonus track from the 2025 album Critical Thinking ‘Let the Light Return’ as well as joining for various live shows.

Her music has been featured on TV shows, commercials and films across the globe, with credits and clients including Civil War (2024), Netflix, BBC, Emily in Paris, Black Mirror, You, and many more. She wrote the title music to the 2022 reboot of Embarrassing Bodies (E4) along with co-writer Andrew Britton, as well as the title music to the Belgian Edition of ‘Four in a Bed’. She is a former founding member of experimental pop band Troves (previously signed to Nude Records).

Lana is also an artist and poet and her debut book ‘Hope Is a Silhouette’ – a collection of 20 poems and accompanying illustrations was released in December 2022 via Wordville publishers. The book has been described by Nicky Wire (Manic Street Preachers) as ‘precise yet bursting with submerged emotion…a deeply personal inner migration of beauty and bruised hope’, and Simon Raymonde (Cocteau Twins & Bella Union) said ‘The marriage of art and poetry has rarely been so gloriously exhibited in one unique debut volume. Apart, each illustration, each poem, hits a nerve and tells a truth. Together they make for a deeply compelling experience. A major new talent.’
