Everywhere I go there are vultures circling
They cling like kings onto their gold
Their wings as black as death
It's no use pelting them with stones
They just climb higher the harder that you throw

Further down the road I came upon a wanderer
Trying to lighten her load
She was kicking off her boots
Unbuttoning her overcoat
She waved it like a flag, then let it go
