(REQUEST: "Screwball 1930's comedy soundtrack updated and remixed") Remember that wacky time when Laurel and Hardy tried taking care of 100s of feral cats and they turned on them, killing Hardy? Cartoony, upbeat, technology-meets-Swing/Gypsy Jazz feel is captured by a lead clarinet and flute accompanied by acoustic guitar and acoustic bass (in @:07). A synth-driven rhythm (in @:13) suddenly gives the piece a technology/modern feel, balanced by pizzicato strings @:21 that hint at 50's sitcoms. @:31 a synth-driven bed with intermittent stabs of glitchy synths and pizzicato strings give the impression of a factory going horribly awry. Good for slapstick, kid's programming, blooper reels and being set upon and eaten by hundreds of adorable kittens.
