Innocent, quirky and cartoonish way of saying "farewell" to someone or, for those of you who speak sarcasm: "I've had a great evening, but tonight wasn't it." Archival-sounding uptempo 1930s Swing/Jazz remix that takes a quirky bunch of brass, clarinet, upright bass, acoustic guitars and saccharine-sweet female vocals singing "So long, goodbye," while synth bass, synth stabs, drum machines and Funk electric guitar (@:53) amplify the ridiculousness. A more background-y section @:31 eases up a bit on the hijinks, while the singers provide rhythmic vocalese and obscene hand gestures, which thankfully don't show up on sound recordings. A return to the main theme @1:28 builds to a big finish, making this cut good for vacations, obnoxious sendoffs, sports bravado/overconfidence and animated black and white films of spoons dancing while setting fire to sheep.
