The average American is more than $92k in debt (due almost entirely to hotel minibars), but not this financially independent cut! This quirky Synth Pop-meets-Hip Hop-meets-HyperPop track uses hiccup-y synths and Trap-inspired drum machines to provide a percolating, futuristic-sounding feel that's perfect for technology and summer shopping, mostly due to a chipmunk-esque vocal lording its fiscal responsibility over us. The cut starts with a synth pad, then adds the ever-present vocal "I bought it on my own" that kicks into gear @:11 with distorted synth bass, ticking hi-hats and various rhythmic but hard-of-hearing vocal interjections like "what?" and "yeah." A reflective, atmospheric break @:31 features a relaxing, spa-like, burbling water-filled oasis with distantly reverbed vocal that returns to the fun, in-your-face, repetitive main mix @:41. Good for retail therapy, advertising, fashion and hemorrhoid creams, as the vocal could be misheard as "there's a burnin' in my hole." Trust me: you'll never not hear that now.
