Mid-tempo, dry, muted guitars and rhythmic toms create a neutral bed above dissonant trombone washes, but as the cut progresses the character of the electric guitar changes, slowly becoming more distorted and aggressive-sounding, as does the nature of the toms hits, which not only get more frequent, but also grow in size and character. By :44 the cut is full-on aggressive, with huge tom hits and sinister trombone notes climbing in tenor and pitch. Good for building tension and suspense.
